About Rebecca
Always an artist, Rebecca Lussier earned her degree in Art Education at Rhode Island College, hoping to share her gift and enthusiasm with students as so many other fine teachers had shared theirs with her. A life-long learner, she found her natural talent bloom years later under the tutelage of Maestro Silvestro Pistolesi of Florence, Italy. In Italy and on Cape Cod, where the Maestro was completing the fresco cycle at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, she learned figure drawing, painting, and eventually fresco, working with other artists beside him high on the scaffolds of the church. Accomplished in a variety of media, she finds her greatest satisfaction painting in oils where many have recognized her unique ability to turn a simple photo into a work of art. When not at her easel, she is usually in the kitchen where her culinary talents thrive, or walking the beach with her husband, Brad, and their Brittany, Rustle.
